paradise, trails and waterfalls, the Big Island is the largest
the numerous islands that make up the Bay of Ilha Grande. Located
In 1886 they built a building to house in quarantine, and travelers
immigrants coming from countries with epidemic cholera. This site,
Lazareto called, was ousted in 1902 for the construction of a prison,
off in the 80s. This "tropical Alcatraz," very high
security, located in one of the most beautiful beaches of the island is now
used as a tourist attraction, open to the public for visitation and
photos.
Folklore as locals have stories about buried treasure, and maps
ancient pirate attacks that are reinforced by the large number of vessels
wrecked on the seabed.
Nature is a permanent invitation to the practice of nautical sports and
aquatic as well as hiking trails, forests and beaches.
Its main urban core, the town of Abraham, is equipped with infra-structure to meet the needs of tourists in terms of Holidays (Cabins, Campsites), Food (Restaurants, pensions, snack bars, ice cream), Leisure (Pubs, House Party, Tours Sloop, Trekking, Mountaineering, Fishing, Surfing, Diving) and culture (Church Historic Presidio Fallen, Folklore, Calendar of Events).

bilingual, and residents willing to help and accept with a great thirst
to tell a bit of local culture and their stories and experience

Acabei de chegar de lá, decepcionada com o descaso da prefeitura em relação à limpeza e conservação do lugar, uma quantidade enorme de turistas chegando sem controle algum, sem condições adequadas de atendimento, enfim, a ilha estava um lixo e parece que ninguém se importa!!
